Exhibits

We bring exhibits to Delaware communities in two ways: through original exhibits on Delaware history, and through partnering with the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street Program.

Our original exhibits are created in collaboration with Delaware experts and educators. We select topics connected to important anniversaries and themes in our state’s history. The Museum on Main Street program brings world-class Smithsonian exhibitions to rural areas across the United States, bolstering small-town cultural organizations and their communities.

In 2024, over 50 sites hosted a Delaware Humanities exhibit. Read more about our recent exhibits below.

Please note: All available exhibit copies have been claimed.

Delaware Humanities programs are made possible in part by funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in these programs do not necessarily represent those of the NEH or Delaware Humanities.
