Free Oral History Workshops
March 20, 2024
As part of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ United We Stand initiative, Delaware Humanities will be offering free oral histories workshops at three locations in Delaware.
These workshops will be led by University of Delaware librarians Amanda McCollom, Associate Librarian and Multimedia Literacy Librarian, and John Caldwell, Associate Librarian and Political and Public Policy Papers Archivist. They will help attendees to strengthen their ability to collect, preserve, and share the stories of their communities. Participants will also learn about creating successful questions for interviews, navigating the legal elements of oral history projects, and using recording technology that fits different budget levels.
