2024 Iron Hill Powwow

The Iron Hill Museum & Science Center, administered by the Delaware Academy of Science, will celebrate an indigenous day celebration on its campus. This event is to highlight native people (First Nations) that currently live in the Mid-Atlantic region, by having them share their crafts, dances, stories, cultural customs, songs, games, and food. Our focus this year is on the lives of our indigenous elders. We will also discuss the pandemic of #MMIR (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives), as well as boarding schools with the information shared with all attending from the MMIW Memorial Grove.
