Injustice & Integration: 70 Years of Brown v. Board of Education
Injustice & Integration: 70 Years of Brown v. Board of Education
Created in 2024 to mark the 70th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education, this exhibit highlights Delaware’s role in the landmark court case and the integration efforts that followed.
Injustice & Integration provides an overview of Delaware’s integration efforts. It introduces audiences to several aspects of our state’s school desegregation story: the Delaware court cases that became part of Brown v. Board, the challenges faced by Delaware schools immediately after the Brown ruling, and the continued school integration efforts in Delaware up to the present day.
Funding for Injustice & Integration: 70 Years of Brown v. Board of Education has been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the United We Stand: Connecting Through Culture initiative. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this exhibit do not necessarily represent those of the NEH or Delaware Humanities.
