How have objects of clothing become tied to stories in our lives?

How can we make these items last?

Why should we reject fast fashion and the modern disposability of clothing?

When fast fashion and micro-trends have dominated the clothing industry, it’s important to slow down and appreciate what we have.

Join us for a brief reading from Emily Spivack’s Worn Stories, a discussion around our own worn stories, and tips on extending the life of clothing through care and mending! You’re also welcome to bring/wear an item of clothing that holds a story for you. A small mending kit is available to all registrants and a copy of Worn Stories is available to registrants while supplies last. Event will be outdoors under a pavilion, rain or shine. Worn Stories has profanity and mature topics, and this event is for adults.

Limited to 30 registrants.  Register online.
