Harrington Heritage Day seeks to celebrate and educate visitors and DE state residents alike, about the agricultural, railroad, and natural resource heritage of the greater Harrington community. Highlights include: (at no admission charge or parking fee) a parade, agricultural/natural resources/historical exhibits and demonstrations, craft and food vendors, live music from local musicians and churches, farm animal and exotic animal petting zoos, car show, face painting, pony rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, and Kids Zone Inflatables. Additionally, the Greater Harrington Historical Society & Museum, the Harrington Railroad Tower, Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Harrington Vol. Fire Company will host guided tours and/or Open House during the event.
