Weaving ancient lore and modern history this lecture presents a narrative of the history of tea and its influences on various cultures. From its discovery over 4,000 years ago, to its current resurgence and popularity, the lecture covers facets of the ancient Zen Tea Ceremony to the dos and don’ts of Victorian Tea Etiquette. The program concludes with suggestions for creating your own “Silver Tea,” including how to brew a proper cup of tea and scone recipes.
