The Friends of Old Dover celebrates the legacy of Dover’s own astronomer and activist, Annie Jump Cannon, on the anniversary of her 155th birthday with an array of events spanning from Thursday, December 6th through Sunday, December 9th, and taking place throughout the state. NY Times best-selling author Dava Sobel, who wrote “The Glass Universe: How the Ladies of Harvard Observatory Took the Measure of the Stars’ will facilitate presentations, interviews, panels, and book-signings, culminating with a birthday party at Annie’s grave-site.
