21st Annual Chautauqua- the 1960s in Delaware: a Decade of Turmoil and Transformation @ Lewes History Museum at the Margaret H. Rollins Community Centers
Sep 19 @ 11:45 am – Sep 21 @ 6:00 pm

Chautauqua 2019 The 1960’s in Delaware: A Decade of Turmoil and Transformation 21st Annual - Sept. 19-21, 2019 - Lewes, Del.

American culture went through innumerable changes in the 1960’s, from politics to fashion to space travel, and its influence on Delaware came in many forms, including devastating weather events, riots in the cities, and a visit from President Kennedy. Through lectures, music, documentaries, tours, and historical theater, our goal is to provide an understanding of the changes and celebrate the transformations that took place in both local communities and the country. Through community partnerships and local non-profits Chautauqua 2019 will offer a free event, open to the public on September 19th – 21st, 2019.
